Wylene Wilson has spent more than three decades starting mustangs, developing colts and green horses, solving problems, and helping riders find the confidence they thought they had lost. Her approach is calm, direct, intuitive, and built on one thing above all else: helping both horse and human learn to think instead of react.
She teaches the why behind the work -timing, feel, softness, clear expectations, body control, trust, and the kind of repetition that creates real confidence. Wylene believes the horse will always tell you the truth, and that horsemanship has a way of revealing just as much about the person holding the reins.
Her work is about more than training a horse. It is about turning fear into fun, resistance into relaxation, confusion into clarity, and helping women become more capable, connected, and confident both in and out of the saddle.
"How you live is how you ride."
Her way of work
Wylene believes real progress comes from honesty, awareness, timing, trust, and learning how to stay present when things get uncomfortable. Her teaching is hands-on, practical, and built around real-life situations, not mindless drills.
Whether she is working with a young horse, a seasoned rider, a confidence issue, or a horse that has learned to react before thinking, Wylene looks for the root of the problem. Her goal is to help horse and human understand each other better, build confidence, and leave with tools that actually make sense when real life gets western.
For Wylene, horsemanship and Lifemanship are deeply connected. The way we communicate, react, lead, trust, and show up with our horses often reflects how we move through the rest of our lives.
